And Our Luck Rolls On…

This afternoon our cat Butch was diagnosed with a lymphoma in his chest. The vet drained out 100ML of fluid after we took him in because his breathing seemed labored. “Good eye!”, said the doctor. “Nothing we can do” were his next words. (SIGH) So here’s the tally of our animals since Seattle:

Sasha: Kidney failure
Hobbes: Small-cell lymphoma of the small intestine
Susie: Lymphoma in the abdomen
Butch: Lymphoma in the thorax (Still kickin’ so far)

We’ve been giving Butch bi-weekly subcutaneous fluids (20ML per) for a few weeks now due to first-stage kidney failure. NOW the poor schmuck has to suffer just a little more. The Universe is a mean and ugly place, people.

I did, however, crack the doctor up with the comment “That cuts it. My next pet is a ROCK.”

Andy’s Getting Married!

Well, they call it a “Legal Union” but the bottom line is the same – another one bites the dust. :)

They have a web site we can visit: Amy and Andy

Let’s all wish Amy and Andy the very best and a long and loving life.

I know I’m a lucky man. Been lucky for over 20 years. I hope they have as long and longer.

[UPDATE]

Well, they’re old married folks now.  Momma and I have resisted contacting them as we remember OUR post-wedding weeks and they were hectic and needing solitude.  In the meantime, we can all enjoy the few pictures I took that are fit for public viewing (No, I just mean the ones that don’t suck, pervert).  You can see them HERE.

  • About Me

By day, I'm a mild-mannered tech for a telecommunications company.  Yeah, it's not glamorous, but it pays the bills while I develop an exit strategy.  Meanwhile, I torture my lovely wife with a love for computers, HDTV's, random junk and a poor work ethic.  Enjoy my little short attention-span theater.
